In the current day and age, with our lives surrounded by designer fashion and global warming, having a suitable pair of sunglasses is required for both. A good pair of sunglasses will finish off your outfit and can also hide some of the damage that the previous night out did. As for the global warming side of it, with temperatures on the rise and the sun getting hotter, your eyes require more protection than ever before.

So now that I have justified the reasons for buying sunglasses, you now have the difficult decision of which ones to buy. Now that’s the difficult part.

Just like when you have to buy normal glasses, the ones that you buy are based on the shape of your face. There are 2 main face shapes, oval and round. A round face is where the width and height of the face are almost the same, and generally a round faced person knows that they have a round face. As for the other shape, oval, if you don’t think you’re a round faced person, then you’re most likely oval faced and this is simply where the length is longer than the width.

Once you have decided on the shape of your face, you can decide on the shape of your sunglasses. If you have a more rounded face then a square or rectangle frame would be the best option. Unfortunately, if you have a rounded face, you are limited slightly because some companies don’t design square or rectangle sunglases.

If you have an oval face, you can really get away with wearing anything. You are not limited by any shape or size, you can opt for the bigger styles like celebrities, or maybe something a little smaller is more your taste, either one will look right.Police sunglasses or maybe a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, you should be able to pull it off.

If you don’t think you have an oval or a round face, then there are a couple of others that may be you. If you think you have more of a heart shaped face, then you should lean towards the aviation style glasses that are thin rimmed. Finally, if you think you have more of a square face then you want to head for some glasses which are more curved as you already have plenty of angles on your face.

Hopefully you’ll find this guide useful next time you buy some sunglasses. Remember though, just because you payed alot of money for your designer glasses, it doesn’t mean they give you enough protection from the sun. Make sure that the glasses come with a sticker on them stating how well they are protecting your eyes.
